Guides / Training frequency

How many days a week should you work out?

For most people, 3 to 5 training days a week is plenty. The best number is the one you can repeat every week.

01

Why a weekly split helps

A split gives each day a job, such as legs one day and upper body another. You train each muscle group more than once a week while keeping every session focused and recoverable.

  • 3 daysFull-body sessions work well for beginners and busy weeks.
  • 4 to 5 daysUpper/lower or push/pull/legs style splits.
  • Rest daysWhen you recover. Light walking is fine.
03

Stay consistent

If you have been off, begin with fewer days and build up. Showing up every week beats a perfect plan you quit in two weeks.
